About TestYourChoice

One person. A long road. A quiet obsession with getting it right.

TestYourChoice began as a better answer to disposable quiz pages: a place to test what you know, learn what you missed, and trust that the explanation was worth your time.

What we believe

Six small ideas, taken seriously.

These are not brand slogans. They are the operating principles that shape every quiz, article, and correction.

01. Claims should be checkable.

Where a page states a fact, it should name the source behind it. Older pages are being reviewed against that standard — see the sourcing policy.

02. Curiosity is not a niche.

We assume readers are smart, busy, and capable of enjoying precise answers without clickbait around them.

03. Attention is a gift.

No manufactured urgency, no fake scarcity, no tricks that turn learning into a stress loop.

04. The writing matters.

A good quiz question is a tiny essay: clear, surprising, and generous with the reason why.

05. Corrections are part of the work.

If we get something wrong, we update it, learn from it, and make the fix visible. Here is the corrections process.

06. Free should still feel thoughtful.

The library should be easy to enter, useful to revisit, and never hidden behind an account wall.

How we work

How a quiz gets made.

01

Research the topic.

We start from reliable, checkable sources and focus on the concepts a reader actually needs to understand.

02

Write the explanations.

Every question gets a written explanation, so the quiz teaches you something whether you answer correctly or not.

03

Review, then publish.

We check each quiz for accuracy and clarity before it goes live — and correct any verified errors readers report.

Who runs it

A one-person, independent project.

TestYourChoice is built and published by one person — Haroon Ejaz. There is no editorial team, no group of contributors, and no separate fact-checking desk. He researches each topic from published sources, writes the questions and explanations, and checks each page before it goes live.

Pages bylined TestYourChoice are published under the site's name as the organization; pages bylined Haroon Ejaz are personal pieces. The full process — including how choice tests are scored, how sources are chosen, and how AI tools are and are not used — is written up in the editorial policy.
